Alain Ulmer was born in 1949 in Chazelles sur Lyon (France).
He studied at the art academy in St Etienne France. From 1982 to June 2010 he worked as a nature guide and graduate photographer (Apeldoorn photo school) with the municipality of Rotterdam.
There are many aspects to my “being a photographer”. Do I opt for the atmosphere, the emotions, for a classic image or for separate techniques or manipulation? The situations that I create or encounter determine what I find interesting, exciting or humorous at that moment and what I will do with it.
My photos are therefore very diverse. I take a look at my feelings and am always looking because I want to create or find an atmosphere that touches me.
